OUR SERVICES

Young Horse Starting (March 15th – November 15th)

We are completely impassioned to give your youngster a confident start in their performance career. We use varied activities such as free-jumping, free-running, caveletti work and cross country outings, to build condition and enthusiasm. Our monthly fee of 1500.00 incorporates full care management with private or herd outdoor living.

Training (March 15th – November 15th)

We gladly accept horses for training, showing and sales. It is our absolute focus to help horses and their owners achieve their fullest potential. Clients may choose full training and management with outside living for 1300.00 per month or stall care for 1500.00 per month. We also have full capabilities to prepare marketing materials.

Teaching (All Year)

We are committed to encouraging, compassionate and respectful instruction, for novice to 4th level dressage riders. 45 minute lessons at Blue Waters are 55.00 or 65.00 at your farm. We also offer seat lessons on our school masters for 75.00.

Mature Horse Field Board: 400.00 per month

For each of these services, there are additional charges for farrier services, de-worming and vaccinations.

Linda is riding her 4-year-old homebred, BW-Raina (Royal Prince x St.Pr.St. Danina)

A life long horse enthusiast, Linda trained and competed hunters, then evented at the lower levels, before becoming a dressage devotee. After retiring from DuPont Pharmaceuticals as a Senior Scientist in human virology and cardiovascular disease, Linda committed herself fully to further develop the Blue Waters Farm breeding and training program. Now in its 19th year, Blue Waters Farm has bred numerous champions including 4-Year-Old National Champion, BW-Callista. Linda was blessed to have trained with Marija Treischman, Karen-Ramsing Bixler, Christopher Schrufer and Hilltop Farm. When not training or teaching, Linda serves extensively in Christian ministry.

Bob has enjoyed a long and productive career as a faculty member at the University of Delaware. He is a highly sought after expert in biosecurity and Avian Influenza containment. Bob brings all of his operations experience to the management of our facilities. Bob is also passionate about creating landscaping that invites and supports wildlife using native plants. During less busy times, Bob enjoys riding across the Maryland countryside.

Born and raised in Southern California, Emily developed a passion for horses early in life which was nurtured by her parents. Emily further developed her talent by working with Scott and Susanne Hassler at Hilltop Farm for five years and later worked with Grand Prix trainer Carol Plough. Emily owns two geldings that she has trained to 4th level, and has bred two premium Oldenburgs, one of which she is currently training. Emily is equally gifted as an artist and photographer earning a B.F.A. from the Rhode Island School of Design. Many of her beautiful photographs grace the pages of this site.

Martina is riding Rohan (Riverman x Godiva), owned by Emily Covington

Growing up in Hanover, Germany, Martina’s exposure to horses was inevitable. She spent her early years riding with her family at a local riding club. Her chemistry career and marriage brought her to the United States in 1996 where she advanced her riding with Dr. Seana Adamson and Emily Covington. Martina bred her beloved premium Oldenburg filly that she plans on starting in the Fall of 2009. Martina is also a gifted seamstress. You can check out her creations in Martina’s Shop on this site!

A life long horse enthusiast, Taliah began riding at age 11. She loves getting to know the personalities of horses, communicating with them, and cultivating their trust. A highly gifted rider and cool competitor, we are honored to assist Taliah grow into a professional trainer. When not busy developing her own Hanoverian gelding, Taliah also enjoys playing soccer, all things outdoors and creative writing.

 Michelle is riding Linda Santomenna’s FEI level, Russian Warmblood mare

Michelle has been riding since 8 years of age.  She began her training with Barbara Berman and later trained with Jennifer Martens.  Michelle transferred to the University of Delaware in 2001 and rode on their Equestrian Team.  While in college, Michelle also worked for Dover Saddlery.  Michelle has been training with Linda Santomenna for the past 7 years.  Michelle works full-time as an Account Manager for Standard Distributing Company Inc.
